development
Scholarships play a key role in developing the next generation of Relationship-Based Horsemanship professionals. By providing access to education and hands-on learning, the International Horsemanship Foundation helps increase the number of qualified instructors, horse development specialists, equine practitioners, and competitors who make a positive impact in the horse world.
Support
Award amounts typically range from $500 to $5,000 and are intended to cover partial tuition. Applicants seeking full tuition coverage are encouraged to explore additional financial resources outside of the program. Our goal is to provide meaningful support while encouraging initiative and financial planning.
Eligibility
Scholarships may be used for clinics, courses, video coaching, official program auditions, or memberships with approved Relationship-Based Horsemanship professionals. International applicants may apply for specific U.S.-based opportunities. Continued funding requires recipients to show progress in their education and horsemanship journey.
Pay It Forward
Recipients commit to “Pay It Forward” by giving back to the equine community. This can include volunteering time, instruction, or horse development services to groups such as youth programs, therapeutic riding centers, rescues, mounted units, or veterinary facilities. It’s our way of ensuring the scholarship’s impact extends far beyond the individual.
A special note to our international friends
The International Horsemanship Foundation is based in the United States and offers scholarships for students pursuing studies within the U.S. International applicants are welcome to apply, provided their educational plans involve traveling to and studying in the United States. At this time, we are unable to fund scholarship opportunities for programs located outside the U.S. We appreciate your understanding and interest in our mission.
